Order of St. Luke the Physician
St Peter’s Episcopal Church is proud to have a committed group of volunteers from the Order of St. Luke who serve and teach our community. Known by many as OSL, The International Order of St. Luke the Physician is an ecumenical organization dedicated to the Christian healing ministry. We are clergy, health professionals and lay people who believe healing is an essential part of the teaching and practice of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are an interdenominational Christian order of faith, prayer and service, with members throughout the world.
OSL Members Believe…
-
God’s desire for us is wholeness and health.
-
Healing was an important part of Christ’s ministry and is intended to be a part.
-
God works through humans to do His healing. We must make ourselves fit and willing vessels.
-
Christian healing is accomplished through faith in Christ and through subjecting.
-
God uses many avenues for healing (spiritual, medical and social) and each should be supportive of the other.
-
Jesus Christ lives today and He still possesses all power on earth as he does in heaven.
-
The revival of Christian healing in churches today could be the means of the greatest advance of Christianity in this century.
Our current St. Peter’s OSL chapter members include: Pam Edgar, Halle Stevens, Mindy Foster, Eileen Cooley, Ady Braun, Tammy Richmond, Janice Howard, and Josephine Perry. Please reach out to any of these members with prayer requests.
