Neighbors’ Night
Dear Lord, help us to be the hands of love tonight. Let us be your hands reaching out: to families needing that extra help, and to children and families whom the only opportunity to see your face might be through us tonight
Amen
Neighbor’s night was launched in 1987 designed to reach out to the young neighbors of our church in downtown Geneva and share God’s love. After Covid we had to get creative with how we shared God’s love in the community. We started delivering food and a “goody” bag to each FAMILY. One of the benefits is that now ALL of the family can enjoy a hearty meal TOGETHER!
Generous volunteers make this program a fun, safe and loving outreach. Led by James Trowbridge and Nate Abbott, adult volunteers lovingly prepare the food and goody bags and deliver them to our neighbors.
Regular adult volunteers serve from St Peter’s church and the community.
God calls us to serve and love one another. Neighbor’s Night is on important way that St. Peter’s lives into this mission.
- Open to families with children, from infants up to age 18.
- Wednesday evening deliveries start around 4:45PM until all families have received their meals and goody bag.
