Baptisms
Baptism is a sacred rite through which we are welcomed into the Christian community and embraced as children of God. Whether for an adult or a child, baptism marks the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith. Promises are made by the individual or, in the case of children, by parents and godparents, affirming a commitment to grow in faith and live according to God’s love. Water and holy oil are used as outward signs of this spiritual rebirth.
